Join the "Habitability & Ecology of the Seine" seminar, Paris – June 23
Productive Seminar "Habitability and Ecology of the Seine Basin and its Tributaries: What Representations and Actions for the Territories?" This one-day event will include discussions, round tables, and working groups, offering a multidisciplinary exploration of the workshop's themes and allowing selected participants to benefit from the insights of professionals from the fields of water and territorial management. This day of exchanges on the Seine Basin and its Upper Valley will bring together the Les Ateliers network and a range of experts and stakeholders in water and territorial issues at the Jean Jaurès, in Paris.
How can we represent the water cycle and the evolution of aquatic ecosystems in the Seine Basin?
How do land-use planning and human activities deeply impact water dynamics?
What tools and actions are needed for good water quality, and to help reshape our collective and territorial understanding of water?

Les Ateliers Internationaux de Cergy is a professional network that organizes workshops in France and internationally on complex topics to support territories in defining strategies and actions for their future. Since 1982, the association has organized creative urban workshops on complex subjects, bringing together researchers, civil society, local authorities, and territorial actorsIn September 2025, fifteen participants – young professionals from various disciplines (urban planning, environment, engineering, art, philosophy, agronomy, sociology, etc.) from France and around the world – will take part in the 43rd workshop in teams, contributing their time and ideas. They will present creative and innovative proposals for a shared water culture, while imagining elements of a territorial narrative for the Seine Basin.
