Railway station neighbourhoods on a Chinese scale

The teams of the atelier are expected to offer a comprehensive scheme of the conurbation, with a focus on the mobility links to create between the three stations, as well as urban design proposals to develop teh neighborhoods around the train stations, using the "European best practices" and adapting them to the Chinese reality.

To apply, you need to send us an email before August 30th, 2010 at changzhou@ateliers.org with the following attachments:

- Note of one or two pages in which you explain the nature of your interest, and your useful skills and experience for this workshop. Filename: NAME_firstname_Note.
The selection will be announced in early September.

Organization

This atelier will involve a total of 18 participants selected by the Managing Team, all professionals in relation with urban planning: transportation engineering, urban planning, commercial planning, treatment of public spaces... These participants will work in three different teams of six participants. It is expected that there should be in all teams some representatives of French companies working in China in the urban sector, a professional in link with Tongji University and a local practitioner from Changzhou. 
Participants will be accommodated in Changzhou and work in dedicated premises. A special dossier is being prepared by the the Managing Team, containing maps, analysis papers and presentations of context and ongoing projects.
