I- Next professional workshops

The 2012 workshops are not yet fixed, but here is an estimation of the subjects, destination and dates : Cayenne (Guyane) end of March - Sustainable equatorial town ; Puebla (Mexico) from May 26th to June 9th - City centre and metropolis ; Naya Raipur (India) in November, Thies (Senegal) in October or December.

II- Next student/young professional workshops

 

Porto Novo 2012 - July 20th to August 10 - Ecosystems and urban development

3rd session of the West-African Workshops of Urban Design of Porto Novo. Details and topic wil be released in the third week of March. Deadline for application : May, 15.

Cergy 2012 - August 25 to September 25, 2012- METROPOLITAN LANDSCAPE - Representing and staging the metropolitan landscape. For this exceptional session, held to commemorate the 30 years ofLes Ateliers, lets us forget the functional approach to cities, and dare to dive into the subject from the point of view of the human eye! What perceptions do we have from the landscapes of metropolis? How to stage the large scale? Can we articulate the urban frame and geography, and draw the silhouette of a metropolis? Let us dream. And, at the hour of biodiversity and of the sustainable city, let us project our desires at the large scale.
Several seminars and symposia will punctuate the preparation of this workshop. You are invited to join us.

January-May 2012 : application for "Porto novo 2012" et "Metropolitan Landscape".

26 of May -9th of June : Professional workshop in Puebla, Mexico.

July 20 to August 11 : Student workshop in Porto Novo, Benin

August 28 to September 28 : Cergy workshop "Metropolitan Landscape"

29-30th of September : Great Party for the 30 years of Les Ateliers de Cergy.

October 20 to November 3 : Professional workshop in Thies, Senegal.

November 17-30 : Professional workshop in Naya Jaipur, India.


How to participate

We kindly invite any of those interested by the following subjects - universities, professionals, elected representatives, students... - to get in touch with us in order to be associated to our reflexion process. We are preparing several "preparatory brainstorming seminaries", and besides we can keep you informed. Fyi, these workshops are open to all students and young professionals of less than 30 years, regardless of nationality and education. The teams are followed by professionals and are directly linked to local decidors. Cergy's workshops award all participants with an universitarian diploma of the University of Cergy-Pontoise (12 ECTS).

Organization

Assistants needed

Irkutsk, Russia : 1 or 2 month there (January-February-March). Mission : producing a session book, among with other assistants. Flight ticket and housing included, plus compensation money (300 euros/month). /

Cayenne, Guyane: 2 or 3 months there (February / April). Production of a territory presentation file, sorting applications, meeting local actors, translations, logistics, workshop's animation, and contribution to the session book's production. Flight ticket and housing included, plus compensation money (500 euros/month).

Puebla, Mexico : 3 months there between February or March and June. Same mission and conditions as for Cayenne

Cergy, France : assistant during the workshop. 6 weeks in Cergy (August-September). Teams coaching, help on logistics, contribution to the session book's production. Flight ticket and housing included, plus compensation money (300 euros/month).
